London, 11 November 2011. World Travel Market, the biggest global professional event in the field of tourism, closed. The Slovak Tourist Board (SACR) presented there its new exposition, attracting big attention of visitors to WTM in London. SACR offered its exposition premises for B2B negotiations to 13 co-exhibitors. Individual product packages were offered by Piešťany as well as by Košice, the 2013 European Capital of Culture. A progressive approach was presented by village Zuberec.

Slovak wines and their outstanding quality positively surprised the overseas businesspersons. By contrast, tour operators from Near East and Middle East were interested mostly in combined visits of Vienna - Bratislava and nearby Slovak spas.

“This year, WTM proved again that namely well-prepared tourist product and service providers can benefit from B2B fairs. A good contact must be preceded by months of hard work,” assessed the Slovak participation in the fair Peter Belinský, the general manager of SACR, and added, “Some Slovak tourist entities still miss the essential – a high-quality and comprehensive product. SACR offers its helping hand to those processes. “

This year, seven travel service providers were introduced at WTM London, more than last year, and the Slovak exposition was the biggest since 2001, when SACR took part in WTM for the first time.
